SS51G PSU & 6800 Questions

A couple on months ago I upgraded my psu to the much quieter 250W Shuttle SilentX PSU (pc40 I think).

Instalation went fine apart from connecting the PSU to the motherboard. I asume that the 2x2 ie.

plug should attach to the motherboard, however the motherboard on the ss51G requires a molex style connector. If I connect a molex to the motheboard it works fine however now I only have two molex connectors to attach to components and I really want to install a "vanilla" 6800.

Current spec:

Northwood P4 2.8 @ stock
512 of Crucial pc 2700
120gig Seagate 8Mb cache
Cheap, old Nec DVD player (the one in my sig is now in my mac)
54g Wireless card

I might up the RAM to a gig in the near future + I also might get a new DVD +/- RW, although I dont need one as I have got two in my MAC.

So questions:

1) Can I get a converter to convert the 2X2 to a molex plug?
1i) What should I search for and where (UK supplier)

2) Can I use a molex splitter off the HD or DVD drive to go to the 6800.
2i) If so Which would it be better to leach the power from?

3) Will I have enough power for the 6800?

4) Have I attached the wrong plug to the motherboard?

This is not an ultra/ GT/vanilla/x800 debate. I want a vanilla one because it kicks butt on doom3 for the price. Framerates are better than an x800 pro which costs £100 more & it will also only cost me £50 more than a 9800 pro.

4) Maybe, from what i understood the SS51G has 2 versions one takes the 2x2 plug the other takes the form you have but IIRC its not exactly a molex connector is molex like but not exactly a molex.

ATI should be better for HL2, which would you rather play? I know which I would.

I've got a 6800 GT @ ultra speeds in my SB75G2 (with the older 240W PSU). CPU is 3GHz northwood at 3.5GHz and I have no power problems. You should be fine.

If I remember correctly the specs for the 6800 GT say that is should be on it's own molex without anything else split from it. If you going to split something try to split a fan or your optical drive.

I've just built a SFF for my little bro:

Aopen EZ65
3.2 Northwood
Sapphire 9800 Pro
12x DVD RW
512 PC3200
160Gb WD SATA

and I am REALLY concerned with the heat coming from the 9800 I am going to have to do something drastic in terms of cooling to sort it out. How does the 6800 compare in terms of heat output in a SFF?

ps any ideas on the 9800 cooling in an aopen xpc would be a great help too
