Your scores don't fit at all tbh, I'm running a stock 3570k and 670 and my scores are higher then yours. You beat me in cloud gate but was higher in the other two...might be the driver version your running.

Out of interest what are your scores, the 670 is always said to be almost as quick as the 680 so it would be nice to see what youve got compared to my 680, ill run another test tonight at stock values and post.

It would mean dicking about uninstalling and re-installing drivers, but yeah i guess i could do that.

I dont really want to faff about overclocking the 5870 though

Is there a much windows 7/windows 8 difference?
