Morning all,
Got the Scan newsletter this morning with information about these :

Very interesting.
Can anyone confirm what score they get for graphics in the Windows benchmark thing? Thinking of maybe getting one as an HTPC, but it would have to run MediaBrowser at 1080p, which can be quite intensive if you're doing it in Poster view with 40 - 50 posters on screen at anyone time, and having to scroll through them.

Graphics is HD4000 so i would have thought it will be fine for HTPC duties, including a fancy interface

Graphics may be HD4000, but don't forget that the ULV chips have a lower base clock (350MHz) and rumour has it that due to thermal constraints they can't clock the GPU very high for very long, so it does depend on how much of the work load is graphics-based and how much is CPU based (obviously, even at 1.8GHz, an Ivy Bridge dual with HT is going to be ample CPU for most tasks ).

Agree entirely - much better to go for an ITX system & have the flexibility of choosing CPU & GPU according to requirements...

Looks like the price issue will be addressed by knocking out an even more gutless version soon, with an i5 variant out in April. My guess would be first of April, perhaps because I am not very impressed with the form factor

Edit to try and add a helpful comment: Another vote for ITX, you must have the bit of extra space needed for that? Will be cheaper, faster and quieter too. Plenty of options, either Intel or AMD FM2 socket.
