Recommended keyboards/mice ?
Hi.
I'm looking to update my current Kingston k/b and cheap Targis mouse for something of a much higher quality.
Ideally, both should be as cheap as possible, but i think under £70 for both is ok.
I'm thinking of the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 (£35) nd the Logitech G500 (£35 usually, gone up on Amazon to £41)
I'm not strictly a gamer, but I think I'd be ok with using a gaming mouse - especially if it benefits me in gaming.
I don't know what kind of keyboard is best or preferred, but I do know that there's way too much travel on my current k/b... Laptop style perhaps?

Re: Recommended keyboards/mice ?
Go for a Logitech. They customer service is excellent if anything does go wrong. Straight swaps etc. Products are great too.
Re: Recommended keyboards/mice ?
I have the Sidewinder X4 and love it very good keyboard for the price. The backlit keyboard helps if you game or type in the dark.
Re: Recommended keyboards/mice ?
Keyboards and mice are a very personal thing, therefore I can only recommend Logitech for their support and quality.
However I will say that I'm on my 3rd Logitech MX518 mouse (in 9 years) and view it as the best one out there.
Re: Recommended keyboards/mice ?
Logitech support is legendary, and rightly so. My last mouse wasn't recharging correctly after about 18 months service. They replaced it with a new mouse, and I was able to successfully convince them to upgrade the replacement from the model originally offered (as mine was no longer produced). As long as this sort of service continues why buy from lesser companies?
Re: Recommended keyboards/mice ?
Just bought two of these (other for my son), my Logitech was getting old, excellent mouse for the price.

Mehta are you sure the picture was not of the American layout instead of the UK layout?
Re: Recommended keyboards/mice ?
Sometimes the stock images a shop uses for keyboards are of the american layout and not the UK layout it actually, just double check manufacturer code to be sure. Wikipedia shows the differences.
