    Error 5100

    Got a MG 5150 canon printer. it was print fine until saturday suddenly has come up with the error 5100 message it said turn the printer off and turn it back on again, Did that but it doesn't make any differrent,
    Any suggestion ?

    Apparently 5100 is a carriage error so look closely for any debris such as small pieces of paper or dirt lodged inside. If such debris is found, remove it, plug Canon pixma back in and see if error code has cleared.

    Yes that's what I thoght as well. tried to look inside or anything jam in a carriage but didn't see anything, I think I have to use a flash light and try again.

    Thank you for the link as well. After didn't see anything in there now thinking about going to take a part to see what exactly in there, Not worth but has nothing too loose and will be good experience to learn a mechanism part of printer.

    When I had this error it turned out that the scanner was borked, and for some reason the printer won't work if the scanner is borked.

    Didn't make any different after replace the scaner . And I can't see anything jam inside the printer either. What it could be?
