    Adding another IDE HDD

    Hi,

Can someone clear up a bit of confusion for me?
I currently have 1 hard drive which is partitioned. C, D and E.
If I add another hard drive (as a slave) will it be seen as another C or will it follow on as an F ? Would the letter change depending on wether it were a slave on the primary controller or master on the secondary?
    Thanks for looking

i dont think the controller will matter as i have a secondary backup drive, ive plugged it in as slave on both pri and sec controllers, and it stills reads as the next available drive letter, depending on if i have my dvd/cd/cdrw drives in, i think it just follows in aphabetical order, i rememeber reading this on abnother forum, i think im right.

It would follow on as F: or the next availible drive letter.
