Good quality sub £100 printer

Right I need a new printer for printing digital pictures and I know nothing about printers and would appreciate some advice on what to0 go for. The pictures will just be your normal holiday snaps, I am not a photographer by any means.

canon I865 can be had for £110 from pixmania (a french retailer so manuals maybe in French). Possibly the best printer in the price bracket and cheap to run with indevidual ink tanks.

Canon i865 can be had for £105. Go check out some reviews. I like the fact that the compatible inks are really cheap. I like being able to print directly ontp CD's and DVD's. My canon printers (I have three) don't stress me out like the Epson and HP printers they replaced.

Well depends ther rae other lower priced versions of teh I865, you lose some bits like CD printing etc. Be warned though printers with combined colour ink tanks will cost a lot more to run than those where the colours are seperate. My HP has a single large colour tank and its costs a fortune to replace.

epson r200 can be had for £50 good quality prints and cd/dvd printing capable ,inks aint that badly priced either

The Canon i560, not quite the 865, but very impressive; I woul call it the best <£100 buy.

If i was getting a printer now it would be the Cannon i865. It had a near flawless reveiw in August PC Plus. It had 10s for value and performance and a 9 for features. You will not go wrong with this printer. However if you want somthing which is cheaper in PRICE i will add my vote for the Epson Stylus Photo R200. This had a brilliant review aswell : val10 Feat8 and Perform 9. They did say its quite slow when using normal quality settings. But they also said that Draft mode (which is fast) will be good enough for most documents.

I have the i560. It's a good printer, but I think it's worth getting the i865, even if it is a little over budget.

Seriously, save up and get the i865 from Canon. Everyone above me is right.
Its ths best printer i have ever owned. Im so glad i paid the extra and got this one.

i frequent a photography forum and am getting into photography and it appears that the epson r200 would be the best one about. meant to be amazing quality.

canon's get very good names. although they have four new models (pixma) coming out now, so one of this might be better. The 3000 and 4000 have separate ink tanks iirc.
