    BOSE? ROFL They are CRAP. They're overpriced, overmarketed and sound terrible. Ask anyone who knows a thing or two about hifi.

    With that money you can get a really top notch soundcard if you're after quality. If this is the case then get a seperate receiver with some KEF Eggs like Fondie said. They'll outperform the Logitechs anyday.

    And don't get a GeforceFX 9800Pro with 256MB will last years and is a far better choice.

    Tannoy Revolution 5 speaker surround £950
    Paradigm Servo-15 sub £800

    Then you've got nearly 2k to spend on your PC

    bose arent crap, but they certainly arent good. make urself a nice cyrus system. that will set you back a bit but the things sound exceptional. or cheaper, i like the styling of the arcam top end range.

    spend £1500 on a good computer system and but the other £3000 in a place called a "bank" or spend it on your car, home, wife etc...
