I have read this post, can I fling into the melting pot, I am thinking of changing my 2gb 2100 to 1gb 3200 (matched pair 512), then I could run dual channel, what are the thoughts of you good folks?

I think you would get a performance increase, whats the point in having lots of ram when you can't use them very fast?

Myth, thank you, that signature is a lot better, hope you don't mind I just copied it, not new to PC's and computer gaming but new to this internet malarky, so new memory it looks like, not worth going the whole hog to 2gb 3200???, at least reading throught hear any way.

No problem, and welcom to the fourms! Dont worrie you wont need two gigs of ram, and if you have any questions about what brand and timings to get just ask!
Just to keep you folks upto date, spoke to the company that built my machine, in May this year, and they will do me a straight swap 2gb/ 4/512 - 3200 ram, matched pairs, for my 2 1gb 2100 ram, so I will install 2/512 in dual channel and see how that goes, with another 2/512's left over.
Me thinks a good deal
