Question To change ram or not to change?

I have read this post, can I fling into the melting pot, I am thinking of changing my 2gb 2100 to 1gb 3200 (matched pair 512), then I could run dual channel, what are the thoughts of you good folks?

I think you would get a performance increase, whats the point in having lots of ram when you can't use them very fast?

That ram your using right now is killing your system! Bottel neck all the way! You need 3200 dual chanel! This is a must!

How about this for your sig instead... ( a bit smaller and cleaner )

    My machine: - P IV 3GHz
    2GB RAM (133Mhz) 2100
Gigabyte M/B with Intel 875P chipset
    Nvidia FX5950 Ultra, 256
    DVD-ROM + Pioneer DVD-RW +/-
    220GB HDD (7200rpm) - XP Pro
    Sound Blaster Audigy Card
    5.1 Speakers
    550 watt PSU

Thumbs up For info - the deal

Just to keep you folks upto date, spoke to the company that built my machine, in May this year, and they will do me a straight swap 2gb/ 4/512 - 3200 ram, matched pairs, for my 2 1gb 2100 ram, so I will install 2/512 in dual channel and see how that goes, with another 2/512's left over.

    Me thinks a good deal
