    Next component to purchase.

I read Hexus.net on a daily basis and love the articles so I figured the forums would be a great place to try and find the answer to my query. My 21st is coming up and I was wondering what component I should upgrade next. I believe my specs should show up under my profile but if they don't then I will edit the post to include them. Suggestions would be much appreciated. It is worth noting that I also have an Asus Xonar D1 in my pc. Thanks

    Re: Next component to purchase.

You have a very solid gaming rig there. I'd personally avoid any component upgrades for the time being and perhaps take a look at peripherals.

Do you have a good speaker system/headphones?
How about a bigger monitor to push that 7970 a bit harder?
Interested in trying out a mechanical keyboard or superior mouse?
What about a new desk or more comfy office chair?

All those things will likely have a bigger impact on your day today enjoyment of your computer than any single component swap.

I got a really nice watch on my 21st. Has outlasted a lot of computers, should outlast a lot more

    Re: Next component to purchase.

I am tempted to get a decent mouse or another monitor so that I have two 1920x1200 monitors. Do you have any recommendations for the mouse as I currently have a very basic Microsoft one that has done me proud but really does need to be replaced. Have £1000 Hi-Fi setup so won't be needing an upgrade there

Thanks for the advice. I have no idea how to 'thank' but I would if I knew how !

Got a nice watch for my 18th so that one is out of the question haha. Am getting my bike redone though so it should be running really smoothly when they have finished with it

I have to agree at avoiding any further upgrades, especially if you don't actually need anything. Something that would last for your life would be good, or if a watch isn't your thing, how about saving up for the q4 releases (new GPU or consoles)?

How about a nice custom watercooling loop for your rig?
