I think your components do not really match in terms of quality and cost relative to their importance.

That motherboard is ultra cheap, and really not very good; it's worth spending on one with a better chipset, and brand name:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=49060
    £33
    OR:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=58200
    £37

    The processor is fine.

The hard drive is a bit small, although a good model line. You would be better off in terms of value-for-money with greater capacity, since you will get more Gb/£:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=36369
    £39

The memory is okay, thouhg the latency is high. Brand is good.

    The CD-RW/DVD is great/

As stated, the power supply is way Over The Top; better to get a lower wattage one with a brand name but fewer fans:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=43172
£39 That will still be more than adequate for the set up you want.

    WindowsXP is fine, naturally.

    Hope this helps.

Well done, you replied to my general observation with a specific case of one board outperforming another.

I still stand by my point that in most cases, an Asus board will be a much better purchase than a Gigabyte.

Yea... I kinda did, I judge a company by the best they have to offer, Since Asus's Deluxe was there best and the 8knxp was Gigy's best which ever one came out on top got my vote, hence I stand by the Gigabyte mobo... However Abit is the over all winner!

The cpu on ebuyer you've chosen has ordered on request 99 days so don't expect it to come back in stock.
