Water Cooling
Looking at the end of this month to purchase the Asetek WaterChill KT-12. Want a bit of piece and quiet so getting that and a couple of 120mm silent x fans. Has anyone got this water cooling system. How good it is under idle and load? How noisy is the pump?
Cheers

Cheers. Have you got this water cooling setup? You pleased with it? How noisy is the pump as i intend changing the fan straight away

No, I didn't do the reviews, Rys did. I'll ask him to have a look in this thread if possible. :)

Cheers much appreciated. Swapping my 2 120mm thermaltake case fans for silent x ones. Got the silent x power supply and its well quiet at 14dB. So as long as the pump is quieter than my cpu fan and gpu fan i'll be well chuffed.

My mate runs his router PC submerged in a tank of that InertX stuff, seems like pretty cool stuff.

He must have some money its £40 for just over half a litre. Would cost ya £400 for a gallon lol

Asetek KT12 kits are alright in general, if your budget could reach for the Antartica kit go for that one as the waterblock is much better than the usual Asetek CPU Waterblock and will give you few extra mhz's and lower temps ;)
Bad thing is that all those 3 waterblocks will bottleneck your pump and it will be a bit noisy. Also if you can find the 1/2" kit here in UK go for that one because the 1/2" tubing, will restrict the flow less - hence better pump operation - less noise and better system performance overall :)

or you could get proper watercooling parts... doesnt cost that much more, as easy if not easyer to set up, and much better perfomance.

The man talks sense, ehiem pump danger den blocks, bix or thermochill rad and your laughing, if you want it in kit form have a look over at www.coolercases.co.uk

If your on a budget grab some second hand kit with 1/2" ID tubing such as DangerDen or D-Tek.
Grab the best you can afford at the time (a good combo is a ThermoChill 120.2 rad, 2 YS Tech 105CFM fans and a sunbeam fan controller.) with a Ehiem 1250 or DD 12v Pump and block of choice :)

Could stretch to about £230. My aim really is blissful silence. I've done the 10 80mm fans on sunbeam controllers and soon got annoyed with it. I got a silent power supply so would be nice to silence the CPU and graphics card.

If your interested I have a DD Maze4 AMD block and Ehiem pump up for sale.
As I upgraded to an A64 setup recently.
