power supply readings from HW monitor
I really dont know to much about powers supplys, I use HW monitor to monitor my system temps and noticed my -12v is way off -12v, it will often fluctuate right up to -12V can anyone tell me if it supposed to be like this and if everything looks correct ?
thanks

Re: power supply readings from HW monitor
I'd not worry about that, -12v is an old legacy power line from AT, the form factor based off the original IBM design.
It was only used in serial ports AFAIK and most devices that still use serial ports don't take power from them anyway That's why it was called -12v because it was 12v being supplied out of the pc on a separate line, ie one of the 20 pin motherboard connector wires was directly connected through the motherboard to a pin on the serial port.
