2400+ XP-M 9800AIW low 3DMark score

Hey guys,

Okay, not sure why my 3DMark score is doing so badly, maybe someone can advise. I'm running a Cpucity 2400+ XP-M @ 200x11 on an NF7-S v2 and I've got two sticks of TwinMOS PC3200 running dual channel.

CPU scores seem good but when compared to similar spec I'm way down on the graphics side.

Is it because my 9800SE AIW is only running on 4 pipelines? I tried the softmod a few months ago but I had a bazillion artifacts so I figured I was one of the unlucky ones

I've upped the core and memclocks with ATItool without problems; they're currently set at core = 414 MHz and mem = 360 MHz but I've not pushed them higher yet.

That doesn't look that bad to me, I only got aboout 5000, which is average. And I have a standard 9800pro, you've got the SE which, IIRC, is slower.

is it modded to a 9800 Pro AIW ?

if not, theres only 4 pipes, so thatll be why its lower than you expect

if they have been enabled, then probably just ok, tbh on FX53s you can only expect 7k from a 98XT

I just ran it my self yesterday.. I got over 6000...



Yore fill rate is over a 1,000 below mine! And I have a AIW 9800 Pro (none OC)!
Your sound score is around 20 under mine... but I dont think that would efect it that much.. the cpu is around 150 below... So I belive the fill rate is the problem.. I never knew the SE was so slow! and keep in mind that the fill rate is directly linked with the piplines!

Thanks boys. The fillrate is the indicator for SE and Pro, so because mine fails to softmod that's why its so obviously low.

But what an impact on the scores! Bah.

myth: the sound is probably because I've mothballed the SBLivePlat and I'm using the nForce 5.1 chip
