My laptop screen wont turn on need help?

I have a hp pavillion g6, and it was working fine around 4 hours ago, i left it on, when i came back it was in sleep mode and itwake up but no screen .... So i cut the power off. Then when i put it on again and it still didnt work. The light where the charger is plugged in is orange.
I have done a power reset thing by holding the power button for 30/60 seconds, removed the battery and connected an external display still nothing, tried pressing f4 and such to see if it would swith the display..

Likely the gpu is duff as there is no external display from what you say.

Cambridge laptop repair are good as they do reballing rather than reflowing

The pavilion has a long history of GPU and screen issues.

They were hit very hard by the nVidia issue: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Noteboo...ng/td-p/534001

There has also been issues with the screens failing in them and requiring replacement.

Attach an external screen - if it doesn't POST, it's probably dead.
