    Springdale & Mem Dividers (Digidice)

Does the i865g chipset allow a 3:4 memory divider if used with a 533fsb cpu (much like the i845pe used to, by selecting NB Strap as 400MHz)??

I am thinking about getting an Abit Digidice and a 2.4 Celeron D, but want to run my RAM at decent speeds...

Is it possible to run 3:4 with dual channel??

    Thanks
    Chez

I've just got my Digidice, and with a 533 fsb chip, the only divider options it gives you are 1:1 and 4:5

What about if you set the NB Strap to 400MHz?

Ah, yes, if you change that then it allows 3:4.

    Cool, thanks..

What CPU are you using?? Will it boot and work OK with those settings?? I'm wondering whether ti will work with a prescott core (which the Celeron D has)..

I'm only using an older 2.4Ghz 533 PIV, but it boots and runs fine with those settings changed. Cant see why it wouldnt work with the prescott, you might need to update to the latest bios though, especially if your planning on using an FX5600/5900, as it fixes an issue caused when using those two cards.

I actually have a 2.4b lying around, could always use that (but fancied trying to push the celeron up to around 3.2GHz... )
