Talking A64 Heatsink + Fan Recommendations

I love being descriptive in the thread title, makes this bit so much easier Just wondering if any of you guys had any insight to the best Heatsink and fan combo (besides a vantec tornado) for an A64 on a Abit AV8 motherboard, thanx guys.

XP-120 + 120mm of your choice or XP-90 with 92mm of your choice really. A 5v'ed Tornado is fairly quiet if you have a fan controller.

How does the XP-120/90's performance compare to the Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu CPU cooler, cause my temps are quite high with that cooler.

78CFM at 21db... impressive, although it's gonna be almost £50 total after shipping.

It is compatible, you just can't use DIMM1, so use 3+4 for dual channel instead of 1+2 and it will fit (according to the Thermalright website).

How quiet/pricy do you want? People suggest Silentx fans but I dont think they push enough cfm to make a difference with the thermalrights over the stock cooler.

im not too bothered about quietness, but i think the tornado's r a bit too noisy for me, if only i wa slightly deaf... As for price, im lookin around 40-50 for both hs+f at most

I use a Zalman CNPS7000A-CU on my opteron 150 after a friend recommended it. Idles at 32C, load upto 45C (o/clocked to 220Mhz), & it's quiet. Got mine for abt £36
