evga worst rma ever

i shipped my brother's gtx 560 for rma to taiwan which costed me 20$ from India. i marked the package as gift and declared its value as 10$ as evga packaging details stated it.
evga shipped the replacement via fedex and the person sending the replacement did not mark the package as gift and declared it value as 35 $ which resulted in charges of import around 20$, which when i told evga, they said we can't do anything and you will have to pay so i am going to end up paying more than 40$ which unfair as return charges are supposed to be paid by evga and the replacement is working or not i have yet to find.
plzzzzzz tell what to do

I would personally pester EVGA until they buckle. Or would die trying

Write them a polite email, clearly detailing everything.

In my experience, EVGA's customer service is second to none.

i emailed them to no output they made me pay the charges

My 480gtx died and was water cooled and I sent it to evga and they gave me a new 580gtx

Thats very annoying. UK/EU customs regulation allow for goods to be shipped as a warranty replacement and incur no import duty. But they must be declared on the packaging and proof be available that the original goods had the required duty paid.

I seem to remember others with rma issues in india, not evga just rma in general, Australia, south africa and south american countries have similar issues.
We here in the EU like to complain because we're a 2nd tier market for electronics but we do get a lot better treatment than 3rd tier market countries.

It's also something you have to pay attention to, if you want good warranty then you need to do research into what a warranty is like in your country just because people say a warranty is good or bad if they are from a different country then that does always apply to you, especially if you're in a different continent or territory.
ie differences between france and italy will be far smaller than the differences between usa and india
