Adobe CC to use AMD GPUs for Mercury Playback!

Finally!

According to this blog post we will finally have the choice of using AMD GPUs for the Mercury Playback Engine. Not only that but there is a huge list of AMD GPUs that will be compatible rather than just the few that Nvidia 'officially' allow us to use. They are removing the restrictions on Nvidia cards too so no need for the hack. Any card with at least 1Gb of vram can be enabled.

Can't wait to see some comparison benchmarks but I'm already planning an upgrade

Also interesting to note the new AMD 8xxx cards are already certified for use with it.
