Best Value item in your system

What "thing" in your system is best value for money?

What item have you purchased, at anyprice, that represents the best all round value?

Could be a £300 graphics card that will last you 2 years

COuld be a £10 keyboard that you just love.

Could be my SCSI hardware that is still fast as hell 2 years on, and it was second hand back then.

For me..I think...its a toss up between my TruePower 430W PSU...which I know will be with me for several more systems when most other stuff is gone.

Or it MIGHT be my Cheiftec Case....which I take totally for granted and yet is so well built and was such ace value, it deserves a mention.

Could have been my Rad9800 Pro engineering sample which frankly....rocks. Had t over a year now...and it is still monster fast. Dunno what the BIOS is in it, but its....quick with good ram

No...its the Truepower..... Its the think I should have brough much earlier than I did

    What about you?

I also has to be my eMachines keyboard I have been using for around 5 -6 years

That is followed closely by my CoolerMaster Aerogate II, been using that just under a year and it has helped me with many an overclock

Probably SCSI stuff as well, all bought from the bay of fleas or forums - 73GB 10K HD, bought 1yr ago for £30, still going strong.
PC-70 with watercooling installed, bought from forums for £100.
21" monitor new from ebuyer for £140inc

I hardly ever buy anything new, unless its a real bargain

Hmmm, my Videologic Sirocco Spirit speakers....

Cost me £140 about 6ish years ago, and are still far better than most computer stereo speakers. Love it!

I had some old Creative 4 point surround speakers which lasted me years! Don't use them anymore, but they still served me well!

At the moment I would say my 2400+ is good value! £60 and 2.3Ghz later, what a deal! I also reckon my Antec PSU will last me many years still!

Oh! And hard drives! They always seem to last a while! I always tend to keep my old ones running even when a get a new one! They always come in handy!

one of the best items I've ever bought was the Zalman 7000Cu. This improved my CPU temp so much and aloud me to get my 2500Xp to 2.4Ghz meaning I don't have to blow out loads of cash on a Athlon64 as soon!!!! And it was only 36 euro!

I have just recently realised what my best value component is. Its my gfx card -

    Albatron Ti4680 Turbo

Its a quirky setup TBH. Albatron took a Ti4600 PCB (more layers and better paths than standard 4200) and stuck a Ti4200 core in it with AGP8x and 3.3ns super fast memory.

What does it do ?? Well it overclocks pretty well (standard 250/550 mem/core, overclock is currently 290/666) and outperforms Ti4600's all day long.... I did the overclock for CS:S yesterday and it upped my FPS from 30-ish to an average of 60-90fps on stock CS:S auality settings on a pretty high res (1280*768 widescreen mode)

Its best value item seeing as it only cost me £127 14 months ago !!!

The Logitech MX500 mouse , its the best thing to have come along for years.
Its taken a terrible pounding in Far Cry , Blitzkreig etc and its still going strong.
    So ergonomic.
    Ahhhhh....
