Should i get a mobile processor?

Ok well i really wanna oc alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far i can only oc my 3000 to 2.28 ghz, when i get my new psu hopefully i can get higher. BUt ya should i get a mobile 2500 or 2600 so i can oc it to like 2.5 ghz or somethin, or make an equivlant to a 3500 or somethin? It would be a waste for just a few hundred mhz though since i couldnt sell my 3000 since my dad would get pissed cuz he bought it for me, and it would just lye in a box collecting dust

so should i get a mobile proc or not?

if you are getting one get the amdxp 2400-m, its better than the 2500-m, cos it it runs at a lower voltage for more overclocking potential, its up to you though wether you want to change up

uhh.. you should be able to get the 3000+ up ALOT higher than that... so try and get it up more before you get something else..

ya when i get my new psu (using a crappy raidmax one) ill see how far i can go, doubt it will be too much though (multiplier is locked)

the 2600 is probly what ill get because it has 100+mhz higher so i should be able to oc a lil more than the 2400 (maybe not since the voltage is alot lower0

i think the 2400 is what you should go for if you are switichin, i know its better than the 2500 and is cheaper than it , just beacuse at stock it is lower, doesnt mean it will end up after overclocking it will still be lower,

If you are going for a mobile processor make sure you have some decent memory to go with it so you can try to maintain a 1:1 ratio

They are great for o/cing. Make sure you get a low voltage one as there are others out there with a 1.65 rating. Mine does 2405mhz from a 2500+ mobile in a shuttle!
    Not around too often!
