I need a very capable and quiet h/s for my new setup what do you recommend? Can I just change the fan on the standard h/s for something quieter?

yes of course mate.cant remember what size is it?
get a silenx fan, quietest there is.

otherwise a thermalright XP-120+120mm Silenx fan would rock.

lol im a plonker, forgot i had one away in a drawer.it measures 65mm in diameter, so im thinking thats the size 60mm fans are if anyone can confirm this?

silenx do a 60mm jobby so that could be it m8.

of course you could buy a 80mm or 92mm then using the stock fan make a shroud adaptor to fit a bigger fan on. it will give better airflow down the centre if there is a small space between fan and heatsink as a bonus.

Thanks for the info mate I will try and adapt one of my fans to it then. The thermalright 120 is a bit out of my league on price i think, is the thermalright 948 a good heatsink too.

    np m8.

yes of course the 948 is a top quality HS. Even if they made the old sk-9 in A64 flavour it would still challenge the new ones.
