Sourcing Spare 6pin PSU lead - Corsair HX520

Having just put together my PC, using my old PSU I find myself with a cable shortage.

The 670GTX I have requires 2 x 6pin power leads. I only have one, then a 2 molex to 6pin adapter. This works, but looks very untidy and I need the Molex plug for the fans in my Antec 900.

Can anyone advise on a way around this, without having to buy a NEW PSU?

    As a side note;

I had an unfortunate incident a few years ago where I raised the same sort of issue with Corsair, but wanting one cable to power 4 HDDs & a DVD drive. They kindly (FOC) sent out said cable, without either of us realising it was for a different Corsair PSU. Upon plugging it all in it fried all hard drives & DVD drive!! Luckily they were filled with ill gotten gains at University, and nothing valuable. Though they were VERY quick in replacing everything!

A couple of these extensions to make it look tidy: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/akasa...r-for-vga-card

Or an upgrade kit for the PSU: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsa...enthusiast-ser

Thanks for the suggestions, I am hard pushed buying a cable pack for that much for one cable. Especially when an extra £25 gets me a decent psu to replace it. The current time one is around 4 years old, so doesn't owe me many more favors tbh.

The reverse of this would also work - I have this cable left over, but I cant seem to find any stocked by amazon/scan? I presume there is some sort of powered rail limitations on why i can only have 1 off 6 pin graphics card power lead?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Express-Grap...8+pin+to+6+pin

I need to try and free up with Molex connectors, as I use them for the 3 fans inside the case, hence wanting to avoid using them.

Have you tried contacting corsair? they may give you one or be able to sell you one.
The HX520w originally came with 2 pci-e modular cables
It's still within the 5year warranty

Worst comes to worst comes to worst you can make them they are standard connectors.

They are crimp fastening so all you need is some pliers.
hardest part will be figuring out which wire goes where because of the corasir black ribbon cable, but if you are careful and take your time you can figure it out from your existing cable.

Re: Sourcing Spare 6pin PSU lead - Corsair HX520

Just to clarify, in case corsair don't come back to me. If I do need to buy a new psu do I need to look for one with 2 x 12v rails for to the two off 6 pin leads I need?

Not quite sure exactly what I need to look for?
