I have an MX1000 which seems fine when moving it fast but when i move it slowly it's quite stuttery. Im using a standard dell mouse mat.
1) Would a new mat cure the stuttering?
2) If so what would you recommend?
Many Thanks

Not sure but it might....
....and the fUnc 1030 is generally accepted as the best mousemat, but some people shunt it cos of its price....no need to cos its only £14 inc delivery from www.alienware.co.uk 's gearshop under accessories
I have an icemat, solid glass gaming surface the last mousemat you will ever buy
I've seen the icemat and heard very good things about it!
I see hexus have a review of the fUnc, i'll check that out tomorrow!
Whats the best price for the icemat? I can only see it for about £24 exc delivery which seems a little OTT

This is the the original icemat the one that i have. The icemat 2 professional costs about £10 more, but there is little difference between the two. Both are made out of solid glass and will last you a long time .
Thanks, there must be a difference......is it just the size?
I have a glass desk, and my optical mouse does not work on it. How is this Icemat any better?
its because the icemat is black
Also, i don't like my mouse too sensitive so i guess a small mouse mat won't be great. My dell one is a little on the small side
The icemat is black so the beam is refelcted.Originally Posted by DeludedGuy
One problem with the icemat is the Teflon pads which are included with it. They can cost up to £5 + del for a small piece of tape. You do get 2 included with it and I have found that the pads can last up to 3 months per use with roughly enough tape for 4 applications.
So what happens when the tape runs out? I have tried using selotape, masking tape and many other different types of tape on my mouse as a cheap replacement and none of them cut it like the Teflon pads on an icemat does. They either have to be replaced within a week, give the mouse mat a very bumpy feel or don't work well at all.
The icemat is an extremely nice pad even though it does cost £25 and I have had mine since April and had not one problem with it. It is still in mint condition after 6 months but it can scratch easily (for example from a finger nail or a razor sharp edge featured on many cheap mice), these can easily be cleaned off with window cleaner (nothing else will clean the mouse pad).

I have Icemat Black 2nd Edition and there`re not problems with my MX510. It`s large enough and I haven`t any problems with teflon pads.
2 eddietop: BTW the beam is refelcted on original Icemat too.
icemat 2nd edition cant beat it

If you like gaming as well get an icemat they are worth the price.
I've had problems with certain surfaces and my MX1000... I've currently got one of these, available for £14.99 from PC World and it's brilliant
