    A good tool kit

    Work have said I can get a decent tool kit as the stuff I have is proper tosh! Anyone got any suggestion for a neat set? The last one I brought was over priced from PC world… cheap tat

    Looking for one with a soldiering iron

    What exact tools do you need in it? what price range? whats your job? etc... there was one on the bargain hunt forum there a few days ago, maybe thats of some use

    righty.. basic tool kit... you need.. a short philips... a long phillips... maybe a stubby too.. a small flat-blade and a medium-ish one... a pair of long nose pliers... a pair of forceps/fine grips... a torch... soldering iron & solder.. solder sucker...


    with that lot, you can fix everything. A useful addition is a magnetic pick-up tool as well.. handy for getting dropped screws and stuff.

    you'll probably get it cheaper that way, buying separate, rather than getting a kit ready built that'll have a lot of stuff in it you'll never need/use

    Belkin (iirc), do a fairly good range for PC builders.
    Not really for mechanic's, so for PC builders only, but they have everything you could ever need, of a good quality.
