    SDRAM instead of DDR

I have some spare SDRAM (133), and a spare DDR mobo. I know this is a really stupid question. but here goes. It won't work it in it will it?

Correct. I'm not even sure that it will fit in the slot. If you look at the bottom of the RAM, SDRAM has two 'notches' whereas DDR RAM only has one notch.

yeh the slot is totally different, it wont fit as the notch is in a different place a few pins down

    Seconded to that...

DDR = 184 pins with one "notch" cut out in the bottom just offset of the middle
SDR = 168 pins with two notches cut out in the bottom

Different size/shape, so they just wont fit.

However, depending on the mobo, some had DDR/SDR meaning it may have up to 4 slots, 2 ddr and 2 sdr... then you'd be able to use it.
