    Question Speaker System?

    hey everyone, just finalising the spec for the pc im going to be buying in about two weeks time (as can be seen here - PC Spec?)

    just looking at different type of speakers... at the moment i have Creative Inspire P380 - just a 2.1 system, but its pretty good, only cost me like £30

    anyway, been looking for ideas and suggestions on what to buy, provided my new system is gonna be a SB Audigy 2 ZS 7.1
    im kinda liking the look of the Creative T7700 7.1 speakers, but i might even go for Creative TD7700 (the ones with the decoder) as i have a PC, PS2, Gamecube, XBOX and iPod

    any ideas?

    ooh just a thought - would this work?...

    7.1 Soundcard -> (Optical Cable) -> Decoder -> 7.1 Speakers

    or would i have to run like 4 different cables from the soundcard to the decoder (from each channel) then from the decoder to the speakers?

    sorry, im kinda new with this

    Yes it will BUT not on that system.

    U need to have a dolby digital encoder (like an nForce 1 or 2 board)

    I do this using my AN7 and yamaha cinema amp

    what if i was using the Asus A8V and SB Audigy 2 ZS 7.1? then taking an optical cable to the decoder, then out to the 7.1 speakers?
