Why does the LAN transfer speed become to slow after you wake up the computer from standby?
if I remember rightly, because the LAN is cpu controlled (there is a setting somewhere about it) and when you wake from standby, the cpu is very sleepy and takes a while to remember what it is meant to do..
No offence, but that sounds like a load of rubbish.
When you wake it up, what connection speed does it show?
100mb
Plug in a Lan Card with an on-board Processor, that will take some of the load from your CPU. You need to tell XP to use the on-baord Processor though, I will try to find a link about this for you m8e :)
I don't want to use another LAN card when I have a perfectly decent one sitting on my motherboard :)
I just wondered why it goes so slow once the PC has been on standby
don't go into standby then ;)
Oh christ all I ask for is a sensible answer
LOL :D
I was being serious myself though, I don't use the on-board on my NF7-S anymore.
PM me if u want me to send you (gratis) a LAN Card, I have loads m8 :)
So do I... See above...
