    Apple A7 benchmarks

    Its fast:

I know the OSes are different but it is really doing well against the Z3770,which Intel has just launched for tablets a few days ago!!

That is only for the phone version too, just imagine the tablet model??

If this is any indication of the performance of the newer 64 bit ARM cores,we are going to have an interesting 2015!!

    I expect it is.

The 32 bit ARM architecture is looking pretty dated, but from the quick look I have had at it the 64 bit instruction set looks much more modern. Twice the registers, getting rid of the predication so it won't bottleneck on the flags register, branch prediction when every instruction can be a branch must have been a nightmare in 32 bit.

I have already seen journalists talking down the ARM 64 asking why you need access to all that memory, showing that they don't get it.
