Fans...
To day I fitted a spanky new Asus k8v se deluxe into my trusty old antec case, everything went 100% to plan, even the upgrading of the bios. But the fan on the antec p/s only has two speeds, Fastest ever or stop. If I attach the sensor lead from the p/s to the m/b it spins furiously, if i detatch it, it stops.
This is not as it should be, according to my instructionbook, ( yes I am male and have read it) there should be some intelligent ya di ya between the kit to only spin as fast a needs be.
Dont get me wrong, little problems dont affect me much, BUT I AM GETTING REALLY P****** OFF NOW. 2005 and they still cant get a B****y fan to shut up................
Any thoughts before bed?

You have to go into the bios and turn Q-fan on, its in the hardware monitor section at the bottom just enable it and set the temperatures, I have the asus k8n-e but it should be the same for your motherboard.

still goes full pelt, but the processor fan stops, worringly.

Same happend for me (thought your motherboard might be ok) its something to do with the temperature settings, you cannot seem to set the start temp low enough for the CPU, but the case fan should work ok, I have the CPU fan on full power all the time but mine is pretty quite, I connected it to the connection that should be for the power supply, which is always on full. Don't know of a solution waiting on bios update
