Hitachi 7K60 - but not from Dabs.com!

Hey there,

Anyone seen the Hitachi 7K60 on sale other than dabs.com ?

I had a look at my order today to see "awaiting card issuer clearance" ... wtf!?!

I dont remember suffering this bull**** when I ordered a Ti4200 from them a few years back, and I'd like the drive sooner rather than later. Mainly due to my Athlon64 laptop being really held back in terms of I/O.

Please post anywhere you find it available within the UK, prefer next day delivery as multitasking on a 4200rpm drive is painful. Dont post CCL computers, Im in newcastle (uni) and my debit card's registered to my home (coventry) address

Seems a few people on these forums have been having problems with Dabs & credit cards, myself included. I just cancelled the order & re-made it which solved my probs. Others have been given the runaround. Generally speaking I have found them to be as reliable as the next e-tailer.
Anyhoo, I believe Komplett & Microwarehouse have them. Just not as cheap as Dabs.

Komplett definately stock a range of Hitachi drives, though I'm not sure if they do the one you're after. Worth a shot though, as they're cheap and reliable.

I used CCL in the end for £10 more. My girlfriend had her card registered to our home address, so I just transffered the money and ordered via them. Next day delivery was only £4+ vat so im pleased with that.
