Asus Xonar DSX sound card making loud pop sound :(

Hi all

My onboard sound was no longer cutting it for music and gaming any more so purchased asus xonar dsx after reading up on some good reviews.

But every time i boot into windows or load a internet video i get a loud pop sound (same type of sound like popping bubble wrap pop)

Have updated the drivers of the Asus site and also tried setting all settings back to default and disabling all input for the soundcard but still no joy.


Can anyone advise what i can try before i send it back?

1)Uninstall The Driver
2)Change The Port Of Card
3)Install The Driver Again
