Everglide Optical Owners Help! See Pictures

I ordered an Everglide Gigantica Optical smoke and got it the other day. I've been looking at some reviews of it lately and in the pictures it looks much, much darker than the one i have. So, i thought i may have the "clear" version and that they sent it to me by mistake.

This is a picture of a smoke pad (from a bit-tech review):

Could you other optical owners tell me if my pad (see below) is a smoke or clear one??

    thanks!

for those of you that have an optical smoke:

get a white piece of paper with some text on it (size 14 or so). put ur pad ontop of it: can you see the text? i can see it, but not read it (at least for the area where the plastic is "frosted." at the bevelled edges i can read the text perfectly through mine.

ok everglide say that i do indeed have a smoke pad, and that they have changed the design of them - the older ones where darker.

strange they dont warn us about this on the website

these mouse pads are crap, the clear one has bumps in it which make it anti-smooth and wears the rubber underneath.

You don't have a clear one, i bought the rounded clear one, and i must say its rather rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe. they are far too over hyped.

They claim they are made of special materials etc all they are is plastic moulded with a boblly surface which causes the mouse grippers to be worn away.

a little 6-11 pound cotton mouse pad does the same job, but better as its smoother.

I fail to see how all those glittery bits don't confuse the optical sensors to hell?!
