Dead onboard graphics on my shuttle – advice please

    Hi Guys!

I have been using the onboard graphics on my SN41G2 shuttle since I had to RMA my geforce card a month ago, on Saturday I was playing around with a few of my pc’s and swapping my TFT around by this I mean plugging into one and then yanking it out and sticking it into another pc, I guess I must has borked something as my shuttle would post then start to boot with the windows logo, then the monitor would go to sleep, I would hear windows finish loading with the music so defiantly a signal problem. I rebooted a few times and then forced a VGA mode, using F5 or F8, windows booted with the default resolution in 640 x ??? if you change it to 1024 x 800? ? the signal would drop again.

I cleared the cossy and reset the defaults, but no joy, I then inserted an old Rad9200 and it works fine,

So does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like you broke it! Did you yank too hard? If its not too old RMA it!

yeah that's what i was doing to get a signal, if i did not press F8 then windows would boot up with the monitor turned off.

Its not hardware - your hardware is fine. Its software. Common things to check, is your Shuttle trying to use the TV display as the primary display as exactly this would happen. Alternatively you could well be in a res your monitor won't handle. Remove your VGA drivers when in safe mode if in any doubt and re install. Leave any TV out connections unconnected when installing the drivers as they have a habbit of picking up the TV as the primary screen.
