    PSU Shortlist

Right, I've got a shortlist for a PSU. I'm going to get a half decent one and stick it in my main computer, and stick the one in my main computer into the 2nd computer, so it needs to fairly powerful so that I can keep it for as long as possible.

I would get a CWT 450W, but they're out of stock

    1. 425W HiperPower

    2. 525W HiperPower

    3. 460W SilverStone

Which one would be best, I'm looking for value for money, something that I can use in the future, and stability. Is the extra £22 for the 525W rather than the 425W HiperPower? Or would I be better off just going for the SilverStone? Or something completely different?

Im about to get a new PSU:

Akasa 460W Active PFC 12cm Blue LED Fan Ultra Quiet PSU - Black Nickel (CA-004-AK)
    Price: £54.95 (£64.57 Including VAT at 17.5%)

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Akasa_PSU.html

It's quiet at full load, and adjusts itself according to thermal requirements, so even less noise. Should power all I need it to no problem and it looks nice.

Hmm, looks a bit too expensive for what it is, but thanks for the suggestion. Also, I don't think Overclockers UK have got the best reputation.

In what sense do they not have a good reputation?

You could order that PSU from many other sites, thats just the first one I got on a search for it. I would have suggested the Antec TruePower 550W but thats even more expensive. All depends on your budget.
