Price Check: HP N54L MicroServer with 16GB RAM and 2x2TB HDD

Am looking to sell my N54L. It hasn't seen a lot of use and is in very good condition, still have the box etc. I am including 16GB of DDR3 (off the top of my head it is 2x8GB Kingston 1333MHz) and two 2TB Seagate Barracuda's (ST2000DM001 I believe). I will include the original 250GB HDD and 2GB RAM. Memory and drives have been checked and present no errors.

Any ideas what this package should be sold for? I only see original 2GB servers on eBay.

    Cheers!

Re: Price Check: HP N54L MicroServer with 16GB RAM and 2x2TB HDD

Well I'd say £75 for the server stock, then £60 for the ram (could be more depending if it's ECC and what the current prices are) and then £40-50 each for the HDDs

Re: Price Check: HP N54L MicroServer with 16GB RAM and 2x2TB HDD

I would accept, albeit begrudgingly, the price for the RAM and HDD's considering what I spent on them compared to their current price, but £75 for the server that I only a couple of months ago spent almost £200 on? That's a little low isn't it? They are selling new for £360 on Ebuyer at present although I have no idea how they are £150 "new" on eBay...

Biscuit, would you be interested in the RAM as well? I may put a post up in the Classifieds forum soon if so and try and sell the HDD's separately.

£75 is about right to be honest. They cost that much new a few months ago (after you factor in the £100 cashback)

    ....
And for £169.95 plus vat (£204 inc) for G7 variant at Serversplus. And a lot of people round here will be aware of the £100 HP cashback that finished recently. I nearly bought one then (standard model, 2GB RAM, 250GB disk) and it would have cost me just over £100. And less than that after I deducted the VAT.

What yours is worth very much depends on who you sell it to, and the problem with selling round here is that lots of people know where to look for deals that Joe Public might not.

You likely could sell it here, but not at top prices, IMHO.

I'll keep a look out on the classifieds as I'm looking for some hard drives

And I'll look out for the RAM if you are splitting the components.

I've still got a sealed/boxed N54L sitting around, and wouldn't expect to get more than 80-90 quid for it. As HP probably knows, nobody would buy one at full price.

Mine is the N54L G7 variant.

Have just seen it on Serversplus for £204 inc as Saracen said... damn.

OK, I will try and put a post up for the items later today, I'll just wait and see what Biscuit says about the RAM to know what I am posting.

Ill have to withdraw im afraid, moved back in with my parents and they are giving me a bollocking for ordering stuff there isnt space for

I did point out the current NAS was running out of space but she didnt seem interested in that argument.
