    Dell Axim X30i 312Mhz

    Hey guys,

Decided to need to organise my life (and i need a new toy) so I've just ordered a Dell Axim X30i, 312mhz XScale, 802.11b, Bluetooth, 64mb RAM/ROM and a 512mb MMC card.

Any one used one of these before, opinions etc? Also does anyone know any good sites for freeware software for PPC?

Hi, I don't own a Dell axim x30i but I do own a Dell axim x5 advanced - fairly similar to the x30i I suppose.

    My opinion about it:
I’m in love with it; seriously it has gone from a new toy to one of my most important things in life.

    A few things I use my x5 to/for:

-I use it to play games or listen to music in my spare time at the bus etc.

-I don’t need any paper to write on during lessons anymore, I type everything on my axim x5 instead, I even do my homework at school on it, saves me a great deal of time since I only need to sync the x5 to my computer at home and I get a word-doc ready to print or mail to the teacher.

-I use it to organize everything, remembering times/dates etc.

One thing that I also find extremely useful is the possibility to browse pictures, I like taking pictures – digital, and therefore when not at home and when I need to sort out bad/good pics the screen on my digital camera (hp photosmart 935) is all to small so I let my axim x5 do the job.
It’s not comparable to the quality of a regular computer monitor - off course, but it’s enough to take a pretty good look at the pictures and sort out the bad from the good – even some simple retouching is possible to do immediately on the ppc.
Not to mention how fun it is to show your friends and family all the pics you just took.
