There is nothing in the socket - if you mean the diagonally placed chip I'm guessing that is the chipset?

yeah, its the diagonally placed one- i would have imagined it was a chipset one, but theres no heatsink or fan on it like all the other ones have

not only that, looks like its got the same chips on....and that looks like a barton core too

There CPU's still have there advantages, However there not enough to take on AMD at this time... And since I am gaming now more then ever, I really need a better proc... So it was'nt a case of "being loyal to manufacturers" I was simply defending there last thread of dignity...
