    Audigy 2 ZS Problem

    Hey all,

    Recently i bought a pair of Medusa 5.1 Headphones, and as expected i had to set the sound profile to "5.1 speakers" but i had to return the headphones as the right-center channel didnt work. Now i am back to my standard stero headphones, and when i change the sound profile to "stereo headphones" and reboot my PC, it changes back to the "5.1 speakers" profile! I have tried installating/uninstalling the drivers, i have even tried to remove the sound card and put it back in but nothing has worked! Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

    Cheers,

    Craig

    You doing that using both the creative software and windows sound setup? I hate setting up SoundBlasters
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Yup, the SoundBlaster software does exactly the same (reset to 5.1 after reboot) But i have tried doing a Driver Only install and it STILL does the same

    Set it to 5.1 in the windows control panel and in the creative setup, then restart.

    Are you restarting correctly?

    Do you have the latest drivers?

    I think you have misunderstood yamangman, i want it to stay on Headphones I have found a temporary fix for the time being, i disabled EVERYTHING to do with Creative that starts on startup, everything seems to be fine and windows is staying at the Headphones setting... if anyone has had this problem before and knows a fix for it, then please let me know

    Cheers guys,

    Craig
