Thermaltake Xaser III and Hard disc spacing

Hi all,
I'm considering changing my case to a Xaser III.
However, the harddrives mount sideways (so the back is sticking out the right hand side) for easy access.

However, I have some IDE <=> S-ATA adaptors (serillel adaptors from Abit), and wonder if there is enough room for these to fit in.

Does anyone out there have a Xaser III case who would feel very kind and measure up the space between the edge of the back of the mounted HD to the left hand side case panel ? :rolleyes:

I've not got one of these cases but i was thinking of getting one a while ago.
Thank god i took XTR's advice and went for a CM201BXT! Cheaper, FAR better looking, Lighter, its a CM!! :p

In the flesh the Thermaltake's look tacky as hell :/

I was wondering about that. Those front facias with flashing or glowing skulls or fireballs just don't appeal to me.

Saw the range when I was at i15 and I have to agree, they do look nasty in the flesh. I think that they have aimed them at the Nova driving Burburry waring parade.

Hmmm
I like that case.
Just curious though: all reviews I've seen on the "Black Widow" version does not have the blow hole at the top, yet your case does.
Any ideas why?

Oh, and is that your "dodgy £15 cooler to keep things cool"

Ooh, and where's the cheapest to get one of these? (I'm feeling lazy today :p )

The new versions come with blue leds and the top blowhole.

As for the cooler its a Akasa AK824cu from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...Akasa_119.html (3rd last one)

Heh Custom PC magasine recommends the Thermaltake over the Coolermaster 201B-BXT! Infact they loved the Thermaltake case!

In terms of flexibility, the thermaltake prolly has more to offer than the CM. More fans, rheobus as standard, etc...

But when it comes to looks, I have to say the CM just is the dogs' proverbials.

Since I'm going to watercool, fans isn't too much of an issue - in fact, I'd rather have less fan holes to keep the case more enclosed and quiet... Now, anyone fitted radiator, pump and reservoir to a CM201 ? ;)

Hi There, there's nothing tacky about the Xaser III! It comes with 7 fans built in and controls for all those fans by means of a Hardcano 9, Ever seen a CM case with all that included for the price?
I mean I know the Xaser III (Blue) is not an aluminium case, but nevertheless, it's a lot of case for your money!
I was considering a Coolermaster myself but they look rather bland
