    Via KT800 Vs NF3 250

wot main board would b best to overclock amd 3200+ 64 bit 90nm winchester, u need the acp lock etc which both of these boards have,
eg msi do both chipsets for 939 what chipset should i choose?
also is the msi a good option???????
as it doesnt need any bios updates and works with the winchester out of the box

both chipsets are very good and to be honest the best way to choose is probably on a board to board basis depending on what features they have and what you want, personally i have been put off of the msi boards after a bit of bad stuff about them, DFI unfortunatly dont have a 939 board yet , the Abit AV8 3RD Eye looks nice and should be a good choice and there's the new NF8 boards aswell.
Another thing to think about is that the newer chipsets that support PCI-xpress are about to come out (well the via k8t890 is anyway)

There is infact a nforce 3, 250 DFI board coming out very soon and it is already out in the USA but scarce. I have to say though the kt800pro with the fixed pci and agp lock looks very good and is one of the better boards Via have brought out to compete with nvidia. The nforce 4 is due out Q1 2005 so I would wait until then because you might regret missing the nforce4 bandwagon because nforce 4 is going to be huge.

That board is socket 754. DFI don't have a 939 board available yet although they are testing a couple of configurations.

    da_ging, the ABIT NF8 is socket 754 nForce3, the AN8 will be 939 nForce4 & the AX8 uses VIA K8T890 & is 939.
