New Speakerage

I'm after some new speakers.

Basically, something 4.1, 5.1 or 6.1 (the later must be able to upmix from 5.1 output into 6.1)

Heard my mates Altec Lansing speakers, very crisp bass, good effects from the speakers etc.

At the moment I have these and I have to say the bass on them isn't very good and the trebel isn't great either.

A wireless remote would be great but it's not a must.

I'm willing to part with upto £100, maybe a tiny bit more, but not much.

So, what do you guys recommend?

Saving another £125 and getting the Logitech Z5500s

I don't know that you'll get a decent 5.1 system for that kind of money

There are some decent Logitech 2.1s Z2200s or something which i think use the same satelites as the Z680s

You can get 5.1 for that price quite easily - although you pay for what you get. £100 will get you budget sound on a budget price. The more you spend the better/louder you get (to an extent and if you know what your buying).

I would steer away from Creative and go for Logitechs.

save the £750 U need for a HiFi Home Cinema Amp and decent 5.1 speaker package.

I had an amp and a set of £70 speakers for a year before I could afford the rest but i havent regetted it,

As an idea, have you thought about separates? Off eBay you may well do very well...

I'm liking them, considering ordering them

I'm not an audiophile so a £750 amp would be wasted on me and i'm only running from the onboard sound of my IC7 Max3!

I would go for an Audigy 2 ZS but it has a lot of conflicts with IL2

Temped by those Logitech Z-2200s aswell as those Creative ones.

Opinions one these 2 sets of speakers guys?
