I have one of these converters and it seems play.com got them made by joytech. Anyway Im having problems playing a few games with mine. Like NFSU, when i enter the game it is as if someone is pressing on the up buttong on the d pad or analog stick because the scroll goes up along all the other options. Anyone else experienced this?
Yep, I got that problem with NFSU, and i never really figured out how to fix it. Ive only had a prob with that game though, everything else is great. Wouldn't play Pro Evo footy with anything else!!

The only way i got it to work was from a recommendation from this forum.Originally Posted by Mesce
Dont install the drivers you get with the Converter, let windows install default drivers and then disable one of the ports from within control panel-system
Then test the joystick to see if you've disable the right port, if you have then it should work ok in NFSU.
The only thing is you lose dualshock
Can you plug in PS dancemats to a pc using this?
I also get this, but with a Gamecube adaptor thingy.Originally Posted by jonathan_phang
Does anyone know if a ps2 adaptor can be used with a steering wheel?
You can but they are few and far between. Only ones i can find are around 30+ when I can get one for the PS for alot cheaper.Originally Posted by Alex
Yea, would have to first buy a ps2 then try and find a way to import my own songs and steptiles to the game I'l just have to keep looking me thinks...Originally Posted by Alex
How do I uninstall the driver software. I cant find the tab in device manager. I want the default windows thigns so i can play nfsu.
Delete these three files using the search option (i.e. Start-search)
usbpadff.dll
usbpadcp.dll
usbpadzz.inf
Then take out the playstation-usb converter
Restart PC
Re-insert converter
Then go into device manager
(Start - control panel - system - hardware - device manager)
Find HID compliant game controller (under human interface device)
(Disable the first one on the list)
And that should disable the second playstation port on your adaptor
Then try NFSU
If your joypad stops working go back into device manager and re-enable the port and disable the other port.
Well I did everything you said apart from one thing. I couldn't find the .inf file. I checked the calibrate of the pads and it was windows standard not like before. In nfsu I still get the same thing happening and that is after I have disable each port and such. Is there any way I can manually delete teh .inf file because search aint searching for anything.
