    Re: Improving Case Cooling

You can get the higher performance models if you drop the rpm I personally just like to leave my fans running at 100% they also do a pwm version for slightly more if you like changing the rpm a lot.

I would put the fans at the bottom and maybe one on the side I follow the rule of having positive air pressure (more air coming in then going out) as it helps reduce dust and can generally is better then having negative

    Re: Improving Case Cooling

I have installed 1 * 140mm side fan (intake) and 1 * 120mm fan (exhaust) and I havent noticed any difference in GPU temperatures under load. I was hoping the overall cooling in the case would improve?

I'm using the Corsair AF120/140mm quiet edition fans.

    Re: Improving Case Cooling

Just to reiterate (and somewhat expand) what I said in reply to your first post:

    Intakes:

    1x bottom (1x 120mm)
    1x front (1x 200mm)

    Exhausts:

    1x top (1x 140mm, nearest the H80i)
    H80i joined to the back
    PSU facing down

Leave the side fan placement empty

    Re: Improving Case Cooling

try the cooler master sickleflow 120mm 2000 rpm fans, 70cfm.

I am currently running 7 of them( 4 intakes and 3 exhaust) in a zalman z9 case.

intakes( 2 on the side panel, 1 in front and 1 bottom)
    exhaust(1 rear and 2 top)

    Very quiet with great airflow.
