    Question Best Gaming Keyboard??

    Hey guys..

I have a logitech G15 keyboard atm. Starting to die with a few non essential keys not functioning..

Looking for a new keyboard now.

Needs to be under £100 and backlit. Mechanical prefered too if possible.

All I do is play games...Star Wars my prefered game of the moment.

    Any help is appreciated...

~I also posted this in the Corsair Part of the Forum by mistake Sorry

    Have deleted the dupe.

Not sure I have any valuable input on this - I'm not sure I'd buy any brand other than Logitech, but the G710+ is really pricey.

    Re: Best Gaming Keyboard??

Coolermaster have some pretty good keyboards under their 'CM Storm' branding. I have the QuickFire TK and it's great!
Best bang for buck at the moment is the 'Func' brand keyboard though.
I do miss my old QPad MK80, was an ace keyboard until a spilled glass of wine killed it.

They may be over hyped, but theres a few decent Razer keyboards for around that price range. You should also check out some of Roccat's products.

Do you need banks of macro keys or any special functions?

    Re: Best Gaming Keyboard??

Hey guys, I went for the Logitech G710+ and glad I did, it's really responsive and does what I need it to. A great replacement for the G15 (Orange Version 2), which will always hold a soft spot as it's the best keyboard I have ever owned.....until now maybe. The only slight thing about the G710+ is the wrist rest isn't as large as the G15 and the only colour it does is white.....hey but that's not a problem really....

Thanks for your help though guys, it was a really tough choice and I had loads of different pros and cons but, as Jim said above, he doesn't think he would buy anything else other than Logitech and it made me think, the G15 lasted years due to pure quality.....hence my overwhelming choice. PS I don't need the LCD tbh I found it just a gimmic

    Re: Best Gaming Keyboard??

Nice one, hope you enjoy it

I really want one, but I can't justify it until my G110 breaks. And then I'll have to get the G510 out of the cupboard and wait for that to break as well.

Given that my G5 is now 6.5 years old, that means I probably won't need a keyboard until about 2025.

Its only £110 atm and its a little out of budget but you can consider the Corsair Vengeance K70 its mechanical and backlit and sounds great!

    Re: Best Gaming Keyboard??

I've just bought a Func KB-460, it does everything I need and was relatively cheap for a mechanical keyboard.

Mechanical, backlit and a bargain at £65.
I just can't find anything wrong with it, as long as you are happy with MX reds, some might have different preferences but they work great for me.

    Re: Best Gaming Keyboard??

Personally just bought a Ducky Zero with MX Reds.... Loving the keys and its responsiveness compared to my older keyboard, honestly I was so sceptical about mechanical keyboards before but so far this one's proving great. More pricey than the Func but the build quality seems excellent.

    Re: Best Gaming Keyboard??

I have the same G15 V2 that you had and it's still going strong over 3 years later. Great keyboard. If I had to replace it I would do exactly as you did and buy the G710. Logitech are hard to beat for build quality and customer service (from what I hear anyway as I've never had to use it )

Hope the new one does the job for you

The Razer BlackWidow might be what you're looking for, it's around your price range and mechanical too.

I picked up the older version of the G19 for £95 in PC World, of all places.
Not mechanical, but loaded with fancy features and gubbins that keeps me very happy!

    Re: Best Gaming Keyboard??

That Func is a bargain for sure Hexus review is here for those that missed it

    http://hexus.net/gaming/reviews/hard...1-func-kb-460/

As my old faithful Saitek Cyborg unfortunately died before the Func was available, well it did last 7 years, not bad for a membrane keyboard, I went for a Steelseries 6GV2 a no frills keyboard unfortunately not backlit with Cherry MX Black. Not everyone's cup of tea but I find it just fine.

I wouldn't give up my Saitek Eclipse II for anything but then that's just me...it's getting a bit old now!
