    Building an A64 Shuttle

    Hi guys,

Need to build a powerful machine in a small space so thought a shuttle would fit the bill. I was wondering if you guys could recommend any improvements in the spec or perhaps just comment on whether its all too much for a little shuttle?

    Athlon64 Shuttle
    Athlon64 3000+
    Asus GeForce 6800GT 128Mb
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 120Gb HDD <-- Should I go for SATA?
    1024Mb PC3200 DDR
    Pioneer 08 DVDRW Drive, Black
    Windows XP Home OEM

Anyone forsee any problems there or have any comments?

Also can't appear to find the black Athlon64 shuttle in stock anywhere

U will need a socket 939 cpu with that , I believe it will have to be a 3500+ or higher in that form

Get with it Gordy, there's 3000+ and 3200+ on 939 as well now . Remember there's only 2 dimm slots so you need 2 512MB sticks of RAM, preferably low latency and matched. SN95G5 will need a 939 cpu, whereas the SN85G4 will need a 754 cpu, make sure you get the right cpu for whichever one you're getting! .
