Is the Tt eSPORTS KB-CHL002UK Challenger Gaming Keyboard is it worth its money? And is it a good gaming keyboard?
Ive been looking at getting a new keyboard recently, but I decided against that one...
It doenst seem to say anything about anti-ghosting/ Key rollover, which is what I was looking for.
I think Im going to go with the MAD CATZ Cyborg v7 though
I also like the MAD CATZ Cyborg v7. I have used one a couple of times as of of my colleges owns one. Although not an expert on keyboards it certainly feels much better than many I have tried before.
I'm interested in gaming keyboards but mostly functionality over features. Does anyone have suggestions for reasonably priced mechanical keyboards? I prefer quiet to clicky.
Depends what you mean by reasonably priced. Cheapest new mechanical in the UK seems to be the Zalman ZM-500 for around £35 (from Scan). That uses Chinese knock-offs of the Cherry MX-red switches.
The cheapest new gaming keyboard with Cherry switches is the TT eSports Meka. Available for £50 on eBay (stick in the model number KB-MEK007UK for listings) It uses the MX-blacks which are heavier than the reds but retain the linear, smooth feeling (unlike the two other popular cherry switches - blues and browns that have a tactile bumb and most folk think are the better choice for typists).
If you're willing to spend £65+ more options open up for gaming boards. The Corsair K65 has great reviews, ditto the Coolermaster quickfire TK and rapid.
if you can spare around £60 and don't mind no frills, as in no backlight but built like a tank mechanical with MX Black, the Steelseries 6GV2 is non too shabby
Simply put, not bad, but not good either. Can't complain about the price, but if you're after a good gaming keyboard, look elsewhere.
