Quick question, why? why, what's wrong with them?

As to removal, the front fans use lian-li's excellent grommet fan mounts, to remove the fans you slide the fan up slightly then pull them back to get the grommet screws out of the hole, you can then get them out from the side of the case.

The holes for mounting are a figure 8 shape with the top half being larger to let the grommet through.

To fit a new fan, you remove the grommeted screws from the fan, once you have them out of the case, screw them into the new fan and reverse the process for removing the fans from the case.

If you want to improve the cooling you'll probably get better results by fitting a 140mm fan into the top (extraction not intake)
