Hello,
I've got NF7-S motherboard and a Coolermaster Blackwidow.
The Blackwidow's front USB port is said to be 1.1 whereas the NF7-S uses USB2.0.
Is it safe to connect link them together?

Yes, the ports are exactly the same, it's just the workings of the actual usb standard that is different.
Although cables and ports are generally certified to be USB1.1 or 2... It'll probably work but if you ever experience data transfer problems you'll know where to look
Umm, USB 2.0 is completely backwards compatible with USB1.1 - the only difference is the transfer speed. USB2.0 is miles faster, but if you plug in a USB1.1 device, it'll just run at USB1.1 speeds. Simple as that. :)
Thanks. It seems to work :)
I didn't realise that the direction where you plug the cable to the motherboard matters for USB. At first I ran into some trouble, but eventually found out that it was just the way I plugged the cable. Learning something every day ;)
