Razer Sphex mousepad
Okay, so Ive had this big clunky thick gaming mouse mat for ages, and Im looking at getting the Razer Sphex as a replacement.
Ive looked at reviews and everything online, but they all seem to say its either the best or worst thing ever.
Has anyone here got or used one?
Would you recommend it?
Im just looking for a pad that has less drag than my current one, because I feel like its slowing me down :P
Thanks :)

Re: Razer Sphex mousepad
I have had a sphex for about 3 weeks, so can't comment about longevity, but its a very nice mat. You could achieve a similar effect (and I have in the past) with a teflon baking sheet and some double sided tape, but this looks a lot neater. Mouse (RAT 7) glides well, but I haven't compared it to any other gaming pads.
Sounds a bit daft, but try it on a non stick pan. its more or less the same coating

Re: Razer Sphex mousepad
Ahh well thats good to hear. That does sound a tad odd though :P
I dont have any non stick pans in my student accomodation though :')
How is it for noise?

Re: Razer Sphex mousepad
Same kind of volume, although lower range than a bare desk. You'd get that with all hard surfaces though I think. certainly not intrusive imo (although I do generally game with headphones on).

Re: Razer Sphex mousepad
That sounds good enough (no pun intended) for me then! :)
I dont know why, but I hadnt tried my mouse on my desk before now...
It has a lot less friction than my current mat, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...=1&s=computers
So Im hoping the Sphex is like that!
Thanks for the help :D

Re: Razer Sphex mousepad
Been using these for about a year now, will post a review soon for all the good points and bad. some of the bad ones didn't become apparent until time ticked on.
